I got into the #1 public university in the world. And I want to help you too.
Here are my tips.
I'm a big believer of transparency when it comes to college admissions. I hate all the secrecy that surrounds it, and the nasty competition as well. My question to you is: why can't we all just succeed?
There are so many individuals who try so hard, but are at a disadvantage because they don't know all the "secret tips" that other, "top students" may know to succeed. So my purpose on here and on other platforms is to bridge the gap between the two. I'm here to answer your questions on college admissions, honestly, with no secrecy. And also, I'm here to give the study guide that helped me get a 34 on the ACT (1520 SAT) and get into my top college.

Now that my spiel is over, I wanted to share the most helpful strategy I have for studying for the SAT. It specifically refers to HOW to read the prep books that you purchase.
In my opinion, the brain learns best in two ways: when you INCREASE the order of difficulty of new material, and when you are extremely ORGANIZED in your studying. Using both techniques, your brain will comprehend SAT material not only FASTER, but more efficiently (i.e. retaining more information).
So while reading your prep books, always learn in increasing order of difficulty. For example, a lot of prep book chapters are set up as such: Topic, Paragraph full of strategies or content, and then example. At the end of the chapter, are often sample problems. And then finally are your practice tests, which are probably the hardest, content-wise. Don't just plunge into the prep books without a methodical strategy... if you do so, you're going to discourage yourself, and you'll end up getting more frustrated. If you take your time methodically, annotating and reading explanations carefully, then you will reap the benefits (and avoid burnout).
Regarding organization - I clearly organized my study guide by topic, with neat, step-by-step explanations for each problem. This allowed me to remember HOW to solve the problem a lot better, and I was able to apply it when I encountered a similar question.
To avoid being super lengthy here, I figured I would stop here with my tips. But if you found these insightful, you might be happy to know I sell my entire study guide and study plan for $15 on a nice little platform called fiverr. I got a 34 on my ACT (1520 SAT).
