Cartilage piercings hurt :)

Cartilage piercings hurt :)

I'm going to get into my experience with cartilage piercings. They're really cute and all, and they also look quite professional (so, double-win!)

I walk into the mall, with the plan to get a double helix piercing on both ears, so 4 piercings. My sister is beside me, as we both plan on getting the same thing.

But then, they tell us about the price (it's about $30 more than we expected, of COURSE), and things get tense so my sister decides to not get her ears pierced (too much money!)

So I go in there, decide to get some nice silver hoops and I'm quite nervous (while my mother is quite scared).

First one goes in. Not bad at all.

Second one, same ear. Little lower. Ouch.

Then the piercer asks me to turn my head over so he can do the other side.

At this point, I can really feel the pain in my right ear!

So I turn my head over, bracing myself.

I try to forget how the other 2 piercings went. I was mentally screaming in pain, but outwardly, I didn't show it.

My ears were ringing that night.

I had to figure out how to sleep, how to put my clothes on.

I couldn't touch the back tip of my ear (hurt like HELL), didn't really clean the piercing hole either (things were forming around it, eww).

For a couple weeks, it was really painful. I was constantly conscious of people trying to hug me (and subsequently touching my ear), and I still struggle sleeping (because I love sleeping on my side, and I can't sleep the way I really want to).

A month later, it doesn't hurt (only when I prod it or touch it). I still can't sleep on it, and I have to be careful about clothes and people hugging me.

But other than that, I guess it's worth it :) just got to wait 6 more months (ughhhh) for it to heal, and then I can put in the earrings I really want!

Just maybe don't get 4 piercings at once, unless you're really stubborn like me :)

Dacre Montgomery is KING!

Dacre Montgomery - thank you for being real.  " I will not squander the opportunities I have been given. " For those of you who don't know Dacre Montgomery, he's an incredible actor on Stranger Things. He plays Billy, Max's older brother.  credits: google search He's a hunk of a character - he smokes, gets all the girls, and he's got a bad side to him.  But behind the wonderful acting is a man who is SO inspirational...SO real. He posted a series of posts on his instagram, describing how many times he failed over the course of his acting career, and giving inspiration to all the young actors and actresses (and artists, entrepreneurs of any type) - to NEVER give up.  But the way he said it was so raw and powerful, and was so appreciated by young, measly entrepreneurs like myself.  Here are some wonderful snippets from what he said:  "When I was a kid, I was lost. I had a really tough time in school.  I was a big kid who loved drama. I
